U9 AND U11 NAVY QUALIFY FOR EBL FINAL FOUR WEEKEND

The u9 and U11 Navy baseball teams topped off impressive seasons by storming through the opening rounds of the playoffs. Both teams showed outstanding growth during the year and the elevated level of play demonstrated by both teams came to fruition during the EBL playoffs. While the u9 team swept through their first four games (3 or 4 by run rule), the u11 team won 3 of 4 closely contested games in their opening playoff weekend.

These two teams this year showed what Bombers baseball is all about. First and foremost, baseball should be fun. Anyone who was around either of these groups realized they had fun playing with one another. That fun however, can not be a substitute for good old

hard work. In fact, the fun should drive players to off-season workouts and make players want to go through the mundane routine of baseball practices. The turn out for both off-season and in-season workouts was excellent for both teams. All the hard worked showed. The coaches and owners are certainly proud to be a part of the boys success and excited to get everyone back next year.
