FALL BALL IN FULL SWING
The Bombers Fall is off to a roaring start, with all teams hitting the field for scrimmage and practice work. The Bombers use the fall to evaluate the players strength and weakness before heading into the long New England Winter. By taking advantage of the last couple months of outdoor baseball play, the players can show the coaches progress made over the summer. At the same time, the coaches get to see changes in players overall progression and physical ability from the last time the teams were together in the spring. This year Fall has produced a new wrinkle with some actual game play. The EBL offered a league for both the u10 and u12 age groupings
. The Bombers took full advantage of this opportunity and put the teams in game action. The games featured many stand out players, new to the Bombers, and featured returning players who look to move up the proverbial team pecking order. Whether it is the 9s learning the game, 11s learing to work as a team, 10s, 12s getting evaluated in game action, or 13 and 14s getting work on the big diamond this Fall had something to offer all the players.
