The Beantown Bombers get tuned up for the Elite Baseball League playoffs, with a trip to Hartford, Connecticut. This is an annual event that is about playing lots of baseball and getting to spend time with your teammates. This year, The Bombers are sending over 70 families to Hartford. The players on this year’s teams come from Wellesley, Natick, Newton, Needham, Weston, Lincoln Sudbury, Dover, West Roxbury, and Walpole. From all these locations this trip is far enough to feel like an out of town tournament, but not so far as to put a heavy burden on families.

The returning players are always excited as this specific weekend approaches. Many of our players start asking about this tournament after the teams are formed in the Fall, when it is some 10 months away. For many current Bombers this will be their 4th, Memorial Day Weekend trip. Some of our players may remember trips to Mystic, before we started going to Hartford. In either location, the players and parents remember the time spent together. During the upcoming weekend, we hope to build more lasting memories for the players. We hope everyone has a great three days, and maybe we can bring home a few tournament championships this year.
